Have you eaten flesh for Shiori today?

What Are We?

We are, as the name indicates, a club that advocates the eating of flesh (specifically, human flesh) for Takatsuki Shiori. If you don't know who Takatsuki Shiori is, this is probably not the club for you; we recommend you go and watch some Shoujo Kakumei Utena, in order to discover just who Shiori is, and why you should eat flesh for her.

Okay, I Know Who Shiori Is, But Why Should I Eat Flesh For Her?

Because it will please her. Because it will grant you mystical powers, sexual potency, and the adulation of millions. Because to eat flesh for Shiori is to partake in a sacred ritual dating all the way back to several years ago on a little known newsgroup called Alt.Fan.Utena. Because it will make you even cooler and more popular than smoking will. Because it cures gout. Because it will make people like you. Because the only other option is to not eat flesh for Shiori. Because whenever you eat flesh for Shiori, a fairy gets its wings. Because it will earn you the respect of your peers and the fear of your enemies. Because Hitler didn't eat flesh for Shiori--do you want to be like Hitler? Because it will help you earn money, live longer, and be happier. Because. Just because.

Where Can I Learn More About Eating Flesh For Shiori?

Excellent question. Kionon, our Vice-President of Marketing, has produced this video introduction to the exciting world of Shiori Flesh-Eating. Please feel free to peruse it at your leisure:

I really liked that. I don't have a clue what the crud was going on during the viewing, but you've pretty much gaurnteed that I'll be watching this series within the next week or so, so I can get the full impact.

Also, I mean this in a very good way, but I love that you can shift between syncs at the drop of a hat and still come up with one full composed peice that makes sense.

Cool banner.

I would have liked to see a little more dynamism.

I agree with Paper Island - the video was really static. Some dynamism would've helped. On the other hand, that gave it a sort of feel, too, and good focus on the characters. I guess in this one you've mostly foregone the bells and whistles for a good character setup, which imho worked really nicely. Some very good emotional moments.

Honestly, I just like it. At least as far as character presentation, it does everything textbook-right. And even if the editing is very basic, at the very least I appreciate the good quality (knowing that most Utena vids start from DVDs that look like ass to begin with).
The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

I feel that Shiori will be quite pleased with the amount of flesh I have partaken in.

Er, haven't they been available for many years now from Central Park Media? I know mine have advertisements for really old series (and a website that doesn't exist anymore) in the extras sections.
