Re: Steampunk
In fact, I have always been a fan of steampunk style, though not a part of the fandom because my philosophy is very different. It is my fandoms of Harry Potter and Anne of Green Gables that lead to a very Victorian flavour in much of how I decorate. Unlike actual steampunks, I have no real interest in trying to reimagine older ideas of science iction. Instead, I want interior design that combines Victorian elegance, like I see so often in contemporary Victorian fiction with the technology I am no longer able to be without. Steampunk accomplishes this.

Re: Steampunk
I love the hell outta steampunk, but I also like a bit more of a 1940's flavor to it. Vacuum tubes, mad science, the Great War, Nazi doomsday devices and moon bases. Death rays are also quite awesome.

Re: Steampunk
So my boyfriend and I are going to a steampunk-themed wedding, and in the course of searching the internet for inspiration we found some cool/funny/bizarre images.
At first glance, I thought this was some kind of steampunk TF2 team.
It's like Cloud's sword turned into some kind of weird keytar.
Steampunk Lincoln?!
