Re: The Final CascadaThon Thread [December 5th Release Date]
Not that I don't appreciate Nio's suggestions, isn't the official policy to ignore posts from people not related to the project? I mean, it says so right on the first post, so you aren't enforcing your own rules very well, Twilight.

IS THAT HOW YOU RESPOND TO POSITIVE CRITICISM?TwilightChrono wrote:First off.....how you got a hold of this beta is fucking beyond me. Second. No one gives a crap what you think Niotex. This isn't your MEP. However the hell you got a hold of the beta, I can guarantee it's the last one you get. So, butt out of the thread and quit bitchin about what you hate. The MEP isn't yours and your not involved. And thus.....your opinion is invalid No one gives a flying rat's ass what you think. Fuck off.Niotex wrote:Fix the transitions.. use the ones that people supplied.
I fucking hate the credits -_-
07:44/08:10 - The fuck are you doing with background there Sakura? Rewinding like that never works..
08:14/08:40 - Wannabe 2.5D? Really? Way to spam a 2 second animation..
Seriously cut the Card captor.. Makes it look even more like a Ayumix wannabe.
I shall henceforth not respond to anymore from Niotex. Everyone...just ignore him.

Re: The Final CascadaThon Thread [December 5th Release Date]
No. That's not how I respond to positive crit. I'm open to crit as long as it's from people from wthin the MEP itself, and not from outside sources. It pisses me off that someone not involved with the MEP is somehow getting his hands on this new beta. What I named the file and the description, should not be easy to fond. Not unless you have a key recorder to know what I had typed. And even still, if said person doesn't have one and didn't know what to type to find it, then there is no way said person should be able to find it and download it. No one outside this MEP is supposed to be seeing this, and it's pissing me off that somehow, mysteriously, said person is getting hands on the beta.
From henceforth, no more beta's will be released.
Take care with what you edit now with guys, as the next one I put together might be the last and uploaded for all to see, cuz I'm tired of people who don't belong to he MEP somehow getting their grubby little hands on something that shouldn't be seen by outside sources yet.
So, if this is going to keep happening, then the next one I release will be the complete final.
I will only upload or send beta's through AIM again when I am assured that said outside sources won't see it. This has been the rule of the MEP since the very beginning. And I will not tolerate having them broken. Everyone understand?
So, now that this has been said. What needs to be done? I've started re-working the transitions but need a good base idea to go with. Anyone got any ideas?

Re: The Final CascadaThon Thread [December 5th Release Date]
I've done a little looking around and:
Really now, you're making a big deal out of nothing. So what if one person from outside the mep sees it? It's not a big deal. The way cascadathon has been run with keeping the tracks for members viewing only is nice and all, but it's very common for people to publicly post their betas in the mep threads. I know keeping the betas for member viewing only was initially my idea, but it was never too big of a deal if something got out here or there because I knew that we were keeping enough of it covered up and there wasnt much of a need to cover things up in the first place. Now, one thing that was stated when the rule was first made was that people were still allowed to show betas to their friends, but the idea was to not go about and show a million people while publishing it on YT or something like that.
Considering that only Niotex has seen it and has seen it by the will of some members of the mep dropping off individual track betas, it's nothing. It's not a big deal at all. If anything, it's still completely within the rules.
The problem I'm seeing is that people, namely two people, are freaking out over him being here. He's here by the will of some members in the MEP. It's not breaking any rules. Yes, he's being harsh, but that's criticism. Deal with it. Take what's beneficial from it and ignore everything else.

Meh, I pretty much agree with Niotex - use the original transitions instead of these shitty ones and fix these credits, they're an eyesore as they currently are.
Niotex wrote:You might want to consider giving the text part of the credits their own space. And not clutter them with full screen videos behind them. That way you could create a interesting composition which could give both the text and the tracks the individual attention that they need.

Alright, then. I'll get on it. Also, in the spirit of re-working some things, I think I am going to try and re-edit my track with some new footage.Emotive wrote:Meh, I pretty much agree with Niotex - use the original transitions instead of these shitty ones and fix these credits, they're an eyesore as they currently are.Niotex wrote:You might want to consider giving the text part of the credits their own space. I was thinking of using Rebuild Of Evangelion. Just picked up the source a couple days ago. That, or Murder Princess.
I'll try and pop out a new beta. Unless everyone just wants me to focus on the transitions.
