I found out a good way to check out the whole album. Throw it into iTunes or any other player of your choice and do something else while listening to it. I played Tower Defenese (Gemcraft - Chapter Zero). There is a good chance that a song instantly catch you with an idea. That's what happened to me
Trent is right. This is music for day dreaming.

I am giving a listen to the tracks, but Ghosts 1 left a good impression.

Re: X Ghosts - Interested?
That's not the point, the project can be 60fps, but in the end it's just duplicating or removing frames, not creating brand new ones. (worst case scenario you get awful frame-blending). Not matter what the project is, the framerate it's animated at will be the some odd 12fps.Soup wrote:Vegas can go up to 60fpsVivaldi wrote: As I understand it's pretty tough to get scenes that don't come out deformed.
You also can't forget people who use vegas or somesuch, is there any kind of avisynth plugin that can do this?
Doing that in vegas accomplishes about the same thing as putting changefps(60.00) in avisynth. I.e. nothing that matters.

I am very interested, but are you requiring the 60 fps? I don't really want to speed up all my footage via avisynth and take up more room.

Re: X Ghosts - Interested?
The pointless 3d effects or shinies that exist for no reason other than making the audience go 'look at that effect!' I'm not opposed to effects, just that style of effects wouldn't work with the music. I can imagine plenty of effects that'd work well as mood pieces though. Basically, if there's going to be a fucking 3d spinning cube in this MEP then let me know right now so I won't waste my time with it.Bauzi wrote:What do you define as eye candy? To quote your original post: "Not really effects needed". I got the impression the entire point isn't eye candy. If I got that wrong, then I withdraw my interest.

I still think about it. So far:AaronAMV wrote:I am very interested, but are you requiring the 60 fps? I don't really want to speed up all my footage via avisynth and take up more room.

-The MEP will be 60
-You can edit in 30 or 60
-30 tracks will have doubled frames (that's something I will do in my program). It will be the same visualy
-People have the possibility to use the plug in Twixtor which doesn't only double frames, but creates new ones. Nostromo used it in Auriga.
I see... Ugh hell no! I really want to avoid such stupid "3D in your face camera slides" and cubes as the plague here. I like this definition I'll put it into the MEP points about what not to do in the tracks. The pointless 3d effects or shinies that exist for no reason other than making the audience go 'look at that effect!' Re: X Ghosts - Interested?
How about having some sort of theme that links the tracks together, instead of having a bunch of small random tracks that are linked only by the fact that the songs come from the same album? Like ghosts. Not necessarily evil or scary ghosts, ghosts of the past, being unable to forget ones you love, you get the picture.
I'm not implying each track should be like a short film either of course, there's always a way to go around such a theme in a musical, open and ambient way. And they should, being that the music is as it is.

Well... yeah that was actually the theme behind it. Some interesting atmospherical tracks in a collection of videos.Emotive wrote:How about having some sort of theme that links the tracks together, instead of having a bunch of small random tracks that are linked only by the fact that the songs come from the same album?
I'm fine with a simple collection, but a theme could really add the project something. Any suggestions? Maybe we can come up with something fiting.
So far the theme is: (visualy) interesting and atmospherical videos.

I think since their is not going to be a mix, at least limit a certain set of songs that would fit the theme of this project. ( dark, ghosts, horror ) Not all of the songs would mix well with others, but most of them will. Maybe you should go through all of the songs and slash out which one's wouldn't go well and leave a link to the one's that will.

Well, I'm taking the "interesting and atmospherical videos" part as more of the quality standard than the theme of the MEP. :p How about the one I just mentioned?Bauzi wrote:Well... yeah that was actually the theme behind it.
