The German words, "Gott Mit Uns" mean God With Us and appeared on many Nazi soldiers belt buckles during WWII.

Too bad there's no category called "I can't see what the fuck's going on". I know two videos that could be considered that already...but I'm sure there are more.
Well it was surprisingly enjoyable. Film effect was pretty eww-ish though. :{

Well, I suppose I did like it. I liked the idea of using film effect, but you exaggerated with it, I mean you can't really see anything... Plus, if oyu were doing a video about Nazi army, then why did you include the scenes where those Nazi guys are getting slaughtered? :mrgreen:

Well, they were also really slaughtered in WW2. Ever heard of Stalingrad for example?

One of the few times I'll say that the grainy film effect was totally well executed. It reminds me of something Vivaldi did once [towards the beginning], but done in a different direction.

Strangely enough, the interludes of black space with the speeches was really well coordinated, kind of like luring the unsuspecting viewer into a false sense and then BAM.

While the flim grain was a nice effect, and while I think blurring scenes out to transition to other blurry scenes was well done, I think the blurred effect was done too much in some areas. While one could argue the grainy aspects of the video is a symbol for the clouded and dark times of the human minds during WW2, and I'm all for artistic interpreation, I think it was a tad excessive in some areas.

The little "rewind" before the black space speech was cute and while it was a knee-jerk spring out of the atmosphere of the video, it was a good way to do it to bring the viewer's attention back to the video. But it was really LOUD compared to the other audio, and is kind of a "LEH GASP" moment.

I'm not sure how I felt about the grey blobs towards the end. The fact is... I couldn't tell this was Hellsing. But because of that, all the pretenses of Hellsing were lost, and new interpretation could be taken without needing Hellsing. That's something hard to accomplish. Although one could say it's cheating because we couldn't tell it was hellsing. XD

But yeah.. The grey blobs.. That whole action sequence wasn't PERSONALLY entertaining to me, because its kind of like a completely separate AMV from the rest of the piece. But that's just my opinion.

Overall, it was a very artistic video that was interesting for a view through, and a good take on a period of time and the collective consciousness of a nation rather than one solid concept. Not something I'd watch on a regular basis, because it's not really my genre of choice, but a nice video to share with my friends who appreciate these kind of things.

Uh... Is this where I post "experimental as fuck?". >___>
