@ExSphere - Not sure if I talked to you or not. I liked what I saw...will comment more unless you think you'll be tweaking a little bit or have tweaked a bit by now?

@Silk - lol Sounds good. As for the frame rate, I'm more used to working in 29.97 fps... But I forget the technical stuff as soon as I don't work on AMV's for like 2 weeks and have to re-research everything. Plus, Rider's track is already complete and I'm pretty sure her frame rate is 29.97. I'm so out of practice, I don't know if bringing that down to 23.97 fps will have a bad effect on her track. But like I said, I'm open to all suggestions and will do what research I can to make this all work.

@LA - If I can get off my lazy ass and remix that part of the track, I don't see a problem with it. Can you throw together a little beta real quick while I try to look for the WAV of it? Not sure if I still even have it. <_< >_> <_< If not, I'll see what I can do.

@EternalDefeat & Inan - Show me a beta and we'll talk bizness. EDIT - Hagaren is now going for this track too. I will choose the best of the 3 betas. I will be waiting a week to make my decision.

@Kazemon - Time to get back into the Co-Coordinator seat and help me get this done. =P

EDIT - Last track now available.

I'm thinking about possibly changing my source. Idk yet, I'll sit down and try editing with dead leaves and see how it goes, I'll let ya know what I end up doing.

edit: protip: walking disaster could work awesomely with Trigun.

I didn't tweak it, but I renderd out another version that is 29.97 fps and 640x480 as a lossless, the file size is 236mb
The one you got is 23.976 at 632x480.
If it's ok to upload the lossless file on the server i'll throw it on there, but if you want me to hang on to it for a while until you put all the tracks together, thats cool too.

Kk, you still have time. Sometime in the beginning of this thread I stated I could see Golden Boy edited to this track. haha

Thanks for the update.

Trigun would work well for that track.

The server is fine to take any size file. Whatever you want to put up there the rest of the people in the MEP can see, as I strongly suggest. I want all of us to beta each others' tracks if possible and give their input.

I'll go ahead and PM the new people the address where the MEP tracks are being kept, and also the FTP info to access it.

I PM'd you my thoughts on your track.

Since absolutely no one is giving any crit on the beta tracks, i'll go ahead and review what I saw.

Kazemon15 - were all to blame
This was kind of hard to judge since more than half of it was black spots...But it was looking pretty interesting. I liked all the fades and lyric sync. But where are you getting your footage from? at 00:41 the aspect ration changed, did you resize incorrectly?

EvaFan - Open your eyes
Let me start off by saying, please oh god please get rid of that lip sync at the beginning...I literally hid my face under neath my desk I was so embarrassed. 00:20 - 00:29 I'm not really feeling that effect going on there...Like I see what your doing, and it makes sence, but I don't think you executed it right. Maybe lower the opacity on that oliptical mask. 00:30 - 00:39 This was prob my favorite part of your track. Well focused editing, and very entertaining. 00:40 - 00:59 This is where you lost me... The song changes to a faster beat, yet you slow down your editing and let your clips sit out longer. Try a faster style of editing for this segmet, because the one that's their right now is not working at all.

Arashinome - 88
For the most part I thought this was pretty enjoyable, but the flow gets interrupted a couple times for me. At 00:14 you have a clip with the ocean and the sky with a green shade too it that is there for a good quarter second. and then just completely went to a darker clip, then the clip of the dragon. I think you could get rid of that first clip and just use the two darker shots of green. Instead of having 3 sporadic cuts at once. And another thing I thought was weird was how you ignored the drums at 00:10 - 00:11
yet you hit the ones at 00:14...I think instead of black spots, jump cuts would have done more justice. But like I said for the most part it's really good, just feels like it could use some tweaking up before it gets released.

RiderG - There's no Solution
So far this stands as my favorite track in the mep. It's a very interesting editing style and the song fits trunks character so well. My only complaint in this is the lip sync at 01:22 - 01:25...It just looked really forced and nasty...But everything else in here is gold.

Thanks for the input, ExSphere.

Although, I lost my footage and my DVDs are in my friend's hands, so I might have to change my source. I'll experiment with Nabari no Ou and see how that goes.

Sorry I really like that lip sync sequence, it adds emotion and story to the track. Wont be removing it regardless if your embaressed  .

Hopefully the FX part will look better when I get my DVD tomorrow, if not I'll mess with it some more.

I agree the ending needs changed, will play around with those 19 seconds and see what comes up.

ty for input.
"The people cannot be [...] always, well informed. The part which is wrong will be discontented, in proportion to [...] the facts they misconceive. If they remain quiet under such misconceptions, it is lethargy, the forerunner of death to public liberty. What country can preserve its liberties, if it's rulers are not warned [...] that this people preserve the spirit of resistance? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time, with the blood of patriots and tyrants."-Thomas Jefferson

yah from like :44 on in your track is REALLY slow and it is sooo jarring, I also agree with the lip synch, It's not so much that it's misplaced, but that it's, to be honest, shittily done. Go in, clean it up, maybe find some footage where the character matches the emotion of the words better or something and make sure the lip synch is tighter, right now it just looks really overly hoakey and doesn't flow into the rest of the track like...at all.

edit: Yah Kazemon, yours is far to fragmented for me to really formulate an opinon.

RiderG yours is awesome, only thing I would suggest is working with that lip sync at the end. Lip sync is only good when it fits perfectly. The mouth movements need to be damn near perfect, if not completely perfect, and the emotion on the face of the character needs to match what's being said. Just play with it a little.
