Me too. There was no way that I could take the beginning serious in any way.Zenkia wrote:.istarted laughinqq in the beginning.
The idea isn't bad, but... less talking and more motion? I mean the whole beginning was so extremly static. It really felt like a cheesy parody clip for AMV Hell. Just the silly music in the background was missing and you would have got the perfect comedy clip.
The scene selection, the scene with stuff and scene with talking ratio was not good... It lightened up when the music set in and the fights started, but than there was so much stuff on the screen that the audio just lacked

Thanks again for your thoughts guys. I can really use a lot of the advice given for my next trailer when I decide to do one. If anyone has anymore thoughts on it, please, post them here.

Yeah I forgot something. As far as I remember you hardly did the following:TwilightChrono wrote:Thanks again for your thoughts guys. I can really use a lot of the advice given for my next trailer when I decide to do one. If anyone has anymore thoughts on it, please, post them here.
Shot on the person talking and than changing to some fitting scene while they still talk
or... don't show the talking character at all.
Of course you should show them from time to time, but you can't show them the whole time. Most Industrial trailers doesn't do it and it's hard to make it look fluent with all those talking anime characters. In the end anime characters just are stiff and static. Especially when they talk. I don't know many animes that keep regular talking fluent. I can only remember Akira and FREEDOM.

Your lip sync need's a lot of work man. The mouth movements felt a little off, but the big problem was the characters emotions just didn't fit most of the time. All in all this could have been really good if you had set the mood right. I just couldn't seem to take it seriously.

This thing is way to static, even if there is just talking you need to find some way to have stuff moving or trying different angles/scenes otherwise it's just boring. Well the lip sync wasn't all that bad. I couldn't finish it sorry, didn't even make the 30 second mark to rate it. Better luck next time. =/
"The people cannot be [...] always, well informed. The part which is wrong will be discontented, in proportion to [...] the facts they misconceive. If they remain quiet under such misconceptions, it is lethargy, the forerunner of death to public liberty. What country can preserve its liberties, if it's rulers are not warned [...] that this people preserve the spirit of resistance? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time, with the blood of patriots and tyrants."-Thomas Jefferson

Thanks Bauzi. I'll try and remember some of this.Yeah I forgot something. As far as I remember you hardly did the following:

Honestly.....none of them were off say just a couple. The rest were spot on. I just think you wanted to find something to bitch about to be honest. Seeing as how most of my attention was paid to the lip synching. It is true though that a little more attention could have been paid to the lip synch at certain points. And yes, I tried my best to fit emotion, but since I don't have much experience with trailers and the fact that this is only my 3rd one and was done in just a few hours it's going to have some flaws regardless.Your lip sync need's a lot of work man. Thanks for your input Eva. I'm sorry you couldn't finish it. I tried my best. And for something that was done on a whim and just a few hours, I thought it turned out kinda nice. But it seems that it's only just me that thinks that. I'm not surprised I keep getting shot down with whatever I put out but I enjoy making vids. No amount of flame or bad crit is gonna keep me from putting them out. This thing is way to static, even if there is just talking you need to find some way to have stuff moving or trying different angles/scenes otherwise it's just boring. Still though, I agree with you. I think more moving scenes would have helped the trailer along more but I was tired and didn't feel like proofing it. And it was a video I made on the spur of the moment anyway. Thanks for your input.
Anymore input is welcome guy's if you all feel so inclined.
