Silk_SK: well, the way you get into that category is by having the "special effects" box in your video description unchecked. That said, I personally don't consider your video "effectsy" in any way...

oh-ho my poor ego. out of 14 semi-finals ONE made it to the finals. i really am happy..... see? however i am surprised on which video and in which category

I suppose that makes sense. But it's not that I want it to be in a Best Effects category. I don't think it belongs in any category having to do with effects. Effects, or lack of, was not the focus of the video. I wanted people to know the effects were there, but beyond that to not really think about them. If I had checked that box it would have separated that aspect of the video from the rest to be judged separately and that didn't feel right to me. But, in retrospect I probably should have checked it and hoped people understood that they were a subtle, yet integral characteristic of the video; No more or less present than the scenes they manipulated.
