Do I really need to introduce this? I like Street Fighter. I like AMVs. Street Fighter AMV, done.
Project Specifications
- Tracks will be given out on a first come, first serve basis. If you like the music and you want to commit to it, get on it. Showing initiative means I know that you want to be here. In order to take a track, you must tell me what anime you are using.
- Aspect ratio will be 4:3. That said, if the overwhelming majority of tracks are in 16:9, I am willing to accommodate for this by switching the AR to 16:9. However, if you are just itching to start editing right away, just assume 4:3.
- 29.97 FPS. Non-negotiable. If you can't deal with this, don't apply. If you send me a video with the wrong framerate, you either go back and do it over or you're off the project.
- General quality standards for AMVs apply. This should go without saying, but no subtitles, no watermarks, no interlacing, none of that junk. This is basic stuff; if you're reading this, I assume I don't need to tell you this, but I like to play it safe.
- No using any Street Fighter anime. Come on, it's just plain unoriginal. Don't do it.
- You are limited to 1 track, unless you take track 4 or 5. Because those two tracks are so short (15 seconds), I will allow you to pick up one of those in addition to another track.
The Music and Tracks
To make it short, the MEP will be using the music from the Street Fighter 4 credits roll. It is a mix of various character themes from the game, roughly half of which are remixes of original Street Fighter 2 music. I find it is an enjoyable balance between the fresh and the familiar. You can either listen to the track on YouTube here, or download the track for yourself here. The tracklist is as follows, but please note that the cut times are approximate. I didn't bother listing out the specific times where the tracks cut, but you can download the full pack of the tracks here. The tracks aren't available for download individually because I'm lazy and didn't want to do ten separate uploads. Live with it.
Track 1 ~ 0:00 - 0:47 (Ryu's Theme) L. Fist (Sonic X)
Track 2 ~ 0:47 - 1:36 (Ken's Theme) Enigma (Genius Party)
Track 3 ~ 1:36 - 2:07 (Viper's Theme) 8bit_samurai (Stand Alone Complex)
Track 4 ~ 2:07 - 2:22 (Rufus' Theme) Fall_Child42 (Fist of the North Star)
Track 5 ~ 2:22 - 2:37 (Fuerte's Theme) Kitsuner (School Rumble)
Track 6 ~ 2:37 - 3:06 (Abel's Theme) Open
Track 7 ~ 3:06 - 3:35 (Guile's Theme) Phantasmagoriat (Yukikaze)
Track 8 ~ 3:35 - 4:03 (Chun's Theme) Open
Track 9 ~ 4:03 - 4:37 (Ryu's Theme Reprisal) Code (Fate Stay Night)
Track 10 ~ 4:37 - 5:22 (Akuma's Theme) Nerdstrudel (Batman: Gotham Knight)
Deadlines
You are required to submit a full timeline beta to me by March 2, 2010. All these tracks are under a minute, and most of them are around 35 seconds. If you can't get that much editing done in a month, then you probably shouldn't be on this project. If you fail to meet the deadline, I will boot you and have you replaced, no questions asked. After the beta deadline, I will give you another two weeks to hammer out any rough spots in your beta, and hopefully the project will be released in mid-March.
