Haven't run into a problem before honestly. I walk in with my CD case and paper form, I buy an envelope, I write the address I am mailing things to on said envelope, I put my CD in the case, I bring it up to the desk, I say not to wanting anything special, I am done.Ileia wrote:Yeah, and then you get there and wait and wait in line and they make you "re-package" your disc even though you packaged it the way they had you do it last time and fill out forms and they ask you 10 million questions and want to try and up-sell various types of insurance or speedier delivery and by the end of it you're wondering why you even bothered. I'm not saying "Omfg, every con must have online submissions!" but to say that it's not hard to send it manually isn't exactly right, it's closer to a "light hassle". If you made the video specifically for a convention then sending in the mail is perfectly fine, but not so much when you're just trying to get exposure for a video you already made and sending it to a few cons, which is (I think) what NS is doing and why he wants online submission.
Never had mailing a CD/DVD/Game take longer then 3 minutes from waling in to walking out.
I can understand wanting to do the online thing to promote a vid. Makes sense.
