"CLAMPING" animes/mangas

Post by TEKnician » Tue Mar 23, 2010 4:30 pm

Like most of CLAMPs work (XXXHolic, Cardcaptor, Reservoir Chronics  , etc.), would it be a good or bad idea for another group to develop anime/manga that have intersecting storylines with familiar faces to pique your interest?

I say, if the stories have good endings, yes.

Your thoughts?

I see no harm in it, and its quite enjoyable when they do pull a CLAMP and do stuff like that.

If an artist or group has a sufficient stable of worlds and characters to keep the new story from quickly becoming stale, and does the cross in an original way (so it's not a ripoff of one that's already been done), I say go for it.

Can go either way for me. Tsubasa invading Kobato did absolutely nothing for me.

Wouldn't it be cool if Eureka Seven was "CLAMPED"? Would it be a good idea?

Dude. No.
Eureka Seven has enough writing problems as it is.

"Writing problems?" The story couldn't have been better! Sure, there were a few filler-like episodes, but each episode actually connected and built up towards the climactic end. Unlike most ongoing animes where every new story seems to be pulled out of nowhere just so that it can stay broadcasted.

I would've been fine with just a "no" from you. You didn't have to start disrespecting the damn series. :nono:

And out of all the series you could have bashed, you pick Eureka Seven? Show some class, man.
