Forum rules
Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

Ok so here's the announcement thread to my very first AMV. It's based on Hayate and Hinagiku from Hayate no Gotoku (no spoilers). The editing programs I used were Adobe Premiere CS4 and After Effects, which was a bit frustrating at times since I started this project with no knowledge of either editing programs. Originally, I planned to finish this AMV months later than I did, so i'm glad it only took about a month to finish. I was happily surprised that my AMV got in as a finalist, but I didnt really like it when I saw it premiere during the AMV Contest. Strange, isnt it. =p

Please leave your feedback if you can, such as suggestions on how it couldve been better, what you didnt like, or any negative comments will be valuable.
Thanks for reading.

Well it was good, In the beginning hitting all the beats with the white flash isn't necessary, they hold no purpose. The after effects was pretty well done though. For a first amv, i have to say.. WOW. The adobe editing software you use is good, i think sony vegas is better , just because its easier to figure out. And you can do just about the same thing. So anyways.. Nice job , if i had to star this , it would be 3/5 . ^.^

I read combat butler and moved on a few days ago.

Then Kionon/Nya said stuff, so I checked it out.

Nicely done, and now I want to check out the anime.

Thanks for the comments. I've been told several times about the beginning flashes, which is something I'll definately look over for myself when this semester is over. But I'm just wondering, was there anything that you wouldve done yourself besides having the flashes there?

and were there other things that would've made this video better as well?
