I just played one for girls made with flash and I pretty much fell in love with "Kai Utsugi", someone I met near a Sushi Bar in downtown Tokyo.. *cries*
anyone know of a cute single anime guy looking for a wild thing like myself? xD I wonder if real Jap guys/girls are like that.. O_o

Re: Dating Sims
Japan is a diverse and culturally rich country. Differences between individuals are far more varied than western stereotypes suggest. Distinct regions, such as Kanto (Tokyo) and Kansai (Osaka, Kobe, Kyoto), in Japan contain their own foods, dialects, festivals, and religious beliefs.
Most anime/game/otaku culture centers around Kanto, and specifically Tokyo and its bedroom communities. It is not an accurate depiction of Kansai, Hokkaido, Kyushuu. Okinawa is an entirely different ethnic group with its own distinct cultural traditions.

Also, seriously, I am so tired of weeaboo misconceptions about my adopted country.

And look for the translated ones.
Btw, checked your "game" and compared to VNs... "meh" comes to mind.

03:17 <Kionon>: She asked about real Japanese people.
03:17 <Kionon>: I basically just told her Japanese people are people.
03:17 <Kionon>: And to stfu.
03:17 <Kionon>: And read more.
03:18 <Sanya-nya>: Yeah, that'll help her
03:18 <Sanya-nya>: Also it was really unclear to what exactly you were replying
03:18 <Sanya-nya>: She wasn't asking at "people", she was asking at "hot Japanese guy from a sushi bar in tokyo"
03:19 <Sanya-nya>: (that would fall in mad love with her, at that)
03:19 <Kionon>: I quote:
03:19 <Kionon>: I wonder if real Jap guys/girls are like that.. O_o
03:19 <Sanya-nya>: >>> that
03:19 <Kionon>: And basicaly my answer is no.
tl;dr:
NO.

Re: Dating Sims
wait wait, back on topic.
This person's language is confusing me.
Sick is currently a positive adjective right?
Is Rad still in parlence anymore? I don't think I have heard anyone use the word rad since I watched Fast times at ridgemont high.
I think we really need to discuss slang and the way it can obfuscate ones attempt at communication.

Re: Dating Sims
I believe "sick" is being used as a positive adjective. But positive to positive does not make a very logical spectrum...

Re: Dating Sims
so is rad being used in the negative here?Jadecavy wrote:I believe "sick" is being used as a positive adjective. But positive to positive does not make a very logical spectrum...
It seems unlikely that someone would make a proposal that boiled down to is this "good" or "good"
Perhaps rad is on a slightly higher level of positivity than sick is.
Can anyone draw up a "positive adjective line graph"?
