Ever heard of Black Star from 'Soul Eater'? He is full of himself.

I'd have to wonder if Tsubaki is into him the way the song suggests - she's more the protective (and punishing) older sister-figure. I don't think any character of consequence has a sex crush on him in the series. I was thinking more of Cowboy Andy from the Beebop episode when Faye seemingly realizes (to her chargrin) that she's momentarily attracted to him (she blushes and becomes flustered on the horse in the elevator, I think). But I haven't seen the ep in a while, and anyway it may be too short a sequence to cover a whole song.

I also put a letter wrong last post, putting an 'f' in place of an 'r'; it should have read: Either a pining heroine or a male character who's full of himself...? - But I think now it might need to be more specific than that, Black Star is too oblivious to whatever attractiveness he may have in that way to girls; he wants to be admired as an awesome assassin/reaper. This might be more a "Love Hina" or "Kenichi: The Mightiest Disciple" type thing with the wimpy male lead in danger of getting a seriouly swelled head if they found the bombshell heroine who they crush on feels the same way (to the girl's everlasting shame). Or the gunhead episode of FLCL...actually the song title makes it rather obvious this could easily be another FLCL AMV...

Sorry if that one wasn't good enough but I do have another suggestion:
Luke Fon Fabre from the 'Tales of the Abyss' anime and I personally think this would be a great choice. He is full of himself just because some prophecy predicted he would be a hero and there are these women accompanying him who love him but have to cool him down regularly.

I didn't mean to be dismissive of your suggestion - I got carried away with my overanalysis. I'm curious about this 'Tales of the Abyss' anime and will check it out - hopefully, an AMV artist will find this song interesting enough to build an AMV around...

Ikouto and Amu or Tadase and Amu from Shugo Chara

Both of her love interest are very confident, but tadase is only egotistical when someone calls him "Prince" instead of "King". But the song matches Amu's relationship with Ikouto perfectly.

Sounds a lot like Major Kusanagi's childhood scene at the opening of GITS:SAC (2nd GIG I think)...just sayin'. I know some dislike direct word/image associations, but not everyone feels that way, I'll wager.
