$(AppName) error?

Post by Jessie-kun » Sun May 16, 2010 5:23 pm

Whenever I try and open this one certain project (others open fine), after loading, I get this error message:

"An error occurred while loading the project file 7 days a week.veg.
This file cannot be opened by the installed version of $(AppName), or the file may be corrupt. Please download and install the latest version of $(AppName)."

I have no clue what it means by "$(AppName)," or why it's doing this. Does anyone have any insight?

It does sound strange to have the "$(AppName)" thing. I can tell you what can probably generate this error:

1) Bad installation of Vegas. I don't think there should be any error message displayed like this if it were correctly installed.
2) Different version of saved project, like the project isn't compatible with that version of Vegas. I would say it's unlikely, because of what I said in the first point.
