Ya, I've seen those around. But Heineken has to be drunken in pints. I don't know why, but it seems to taste better in a 500ml can than anything else. Don't ask why lol.
Also, Rickards Dark doesn't actually taste like maple syrup. It just tastes like a dark ale but not as heavy in flavour. Guess the syrup neutralizes it a bit. I'm not sure if it's available outside of Canada tho. I sometimes have a problem relating to other beer enthusiasts because I mainly drink beers that are only available in canada. Stuff like Rickards, Steamwhistle, Moosehead, Waterloo Dark and Buzz beer. (The Drew Carry Show, anyone?)

Buzz beer is pretty cool. It's made with hemp so I'm not even sure if it's legal in the states. Can you guys grow industrial hemp? It doesn't get you high or anything, just ads a sort of strong bitter/sour taste to the beer.
I've tried the international favs like Bud, Heineken, Guinness and Beck but somehow I like the less common beers more.

Japanese beer sucks when you are used to Euro beers or Micro brews.

I'm more of a light beer drinker, but every now and again...

Not a huge beer fan, tho Guinness Extra Stout is pretty yummy cold or room temp. Liquid pumpernickel ^_^

Normally tho I'm for some kind of rum concoction with Captain Morgan Private Stock(Rum and Bawls, Rum Pineapple juice and 7-UP, Rum and Frappuccino, Rum and Cream Soda, Rum in a glass)
The one legged space chicken is after me again.

I wonder how much respect one looses for their supervisor once they have to pick them up off the piece of lawn they decided to fall asleep on. But I probably do not want to know the answer.

Beer, beer, beer. I like almost all alcoholic beverages, but beer will always be #1 for me. Given the choice I tend to stay away from the recognizable brand names and go for local microbrew, although I'm not fanatical about it, I'll drink anything that's on offer.

My favorite types of beer are:

* Pale Ale or I.P.A. with lots of hops to give it a bitter edge. Sierra Nevada is a good one, but it's hard to get around here.

* German or Eastern European style lager, very dry, e.g. Warsteiner, Czechvar. Many N.American beers (Bud, Molson etc) are way too sweet. Even Stella is a little sweet for my taste.

* Porter, or anything thick and dark.
