how many people do YOU claim to have brought in to anime?

Just curious, how many people can you claim responsibility for getting active into anime.

Or a slight variation on that, how many people can you say you are the source for the stuff that gets watched?

I have one buddy that buys occasionally, but usually comes to my place to watch newer stuff I get as subbed downloads.
Heck I even get stuff on occasion for the guy that got ME into anime
I've supplied a couple of other friends that like to watch it, but lack the interest in locating it.

I got my son into anime, not the other way around too

Truthfully, probably one friend. Maybe a little bit with my brother as well (I've given him some Ghibli stuff) but he refuses to believe that Spirited Away is a good movie.

Two people. One was my friend, which I got into watching anime and making amvs. But we haven't talked in over a year, and I'm pretty sure she doesn't do either anymore xD
The second person I didn't get into anime, but I got into making AMVs, on accident. She's my sister, and we always say how we hate it when we have similar hobbies/interests (and trust me, we do.) so now she goes ahead and copies me in making amvs. It's always been my thing, for 5 years, and I was just kind of like "wth?" when she started copying me. I know, it's so childish to talk about "copying" and stuff, but it really bugs me.

One Person- My little brother.



He hated anime but is a huge sports fan so one day we made a bet that if he lost he
d have to watch Hajime no Ippo. I won the bet and showed him where he could watch the episodes and told him I'd be asking questions to make sure he watched it. Well about a week later he calls me and says "I just watched all of Ippo, any other sports animes out there?" I laughed in his face but still told him to try Eyeshield 21 and Slam Dunk. He's been a complete fan of anime since, particularly sports anime, and has now borrowed over 30 of my dvds.

Same here, just my brother(s?) and one friend. That's because I'm not really all that into anime myself though. I can say I've brought more people into amvs than anime itself.

A few of friends of mine, Jeremiah, Risko and Xander. And that's about all the people I can officially say that I brought into anime.

Now as far as being the source for the animes that people watch, I have a pretty large list there. All of them very close friends who enjoy anime as much as I do.

Hummm... well I got my best friend into death note and he took it from there and I recently got my little brother into Dragon ball and Detective conan

4, 2 are confirmed still alive, one confirmed dead, one I haven't seen or spoken to in over 8 years. Last I knew he flipped his lid and was locked up somewhere. Probably not anime related
