Problem please help

Post by mtg1302 » Tue Jun 22, 2010 6:42 pm

so my old computer ran vegas 6.0 and my new computer has vegas 9.0, after using virtualdub and making my clips Avi Huffy vegas 9.0 dosnt accept them, for some reason vegas isnt picking up avi video, it will only place the audio track, so i took other file types and tried them and they worked it was taking mp4 and wmv but it dosnt pick up avi, is something just turned off in vegas 9.0. So if anyone knows the problem please post a reply its very weird, i know the files are converted fine cause they work on my old computer with vegas 6.0.

Have you got the latest edition of all the codecs installed? You might have to go to google to snag it from all the respective websites where they originated.

You might also try lagarith - I think it's more friendly with Vegas (and smaller in filesize), so it might be worth a shot - http://lags.leetcode.net/codec.html
