By the sound of the thread, your avatar looks like a good representation of the contestants' feelings.-Reda- wrote:Can't wait to see everyones videos after this round

Re: Project NeoEditor [Round 1 - Due Today 11:59 CST]
I'm making an official stance on extreme circumstances regarding the deadline rule. I didn't want to do this, but I personally know how terrible weather can not only be a major inconvenience, but also devastate communities [my hometown was destroyed a few years ago, and we had to rebuild it from scratch almost].
Do not expect this to work for you every time, and I will only reward this if the need is great.
EDIT: Drew, what are you even doing in this thread?
Please do not abuse this or troll regarding. I was VERY unsure about even doing this, but I realize that shit happens.Send me everything you have done by 11:59 CST. Even if it's not completed, just send it.
If we have x number of drops [which is greater than or equal to the total number of those who are scheduled for elimination], you'd still be in the competition because you have a video sent to me and on file. In this situation, I will allow you to continue editing and send me your finished product by 6-9 AM the following morning [this gives roughtly 6-9 extra hours of editing] and I will send it in for judging, as allowing you extra time would not "harm" anybody in the competition who also had the same amount of time, and even a higher score because of the extra time would not matter, as everyone who would be eliminated is already eliminated. However, should your extra time result in your victory, you cannot "win" that round, and will not be considered in the standings. But since round winning does not result in a prize, this shouldn't be a big deal.
If we do not have 3 drops, then I will judge the video you had sent me at 11:59 CST.
Of the odd something of entries we've had, we've had entries ranging from 30 seconds to 2 minutes. If you are in Project NeoEditor I'm more than sure you're talented enough to create something in the amount of time you've been given, even under extreme circumstances.
This is the official stance I'm going to take on extreme deadline circumstances, and will apply it to everyone that demonstrates AN EXTREME NEED FOR AN EXTENSION.
Extreme Need:
1) Death in the family
2) Extreme Natural Disaster [I.E: Weather/EQ] that results in Power Outages and/or destruction of your personal property
Non-Extreme need:
1) Hardware/Software failure
2) Internet was "down"
3) "My hard drive failed!!!"
4) I went to a concert/date/friends/sex instead.
Do not expect this to work for you every time, and I will only reward this if the need is great.
EDIT: Drew, what are you even doing in this thread?

If I had a death in the family or some sort of natural disaster occurred, I think that editing an AMV might be pretty low on my priorities...

Well, obviously. Atari, however, had a tornado in her area that caused power loss for the first day or so of the competition and has just about 4 hours today to edit. This is for situations ilke that.Ileia wrote:If I had a death in the family or some sort of natural disaster occurred, I think that editing an AMV might be pretty low on my priorities...
