Re: Project NeoEditor [Round 2 - Ends TODAY, 11:59 CST]
Ok, I updated the first post to reflect it.
EDIT; Annnd it looks like as long as everybody else turns in a video, we won't have any eliminations this round. But don't think that gives you a free pass to edit shit together and call it an entry. Like I said, all of you work will be a critical aspect in a later round.

I think/hope that once we get into the deeper rounds, less people are likely to drop, because if they've made it THAT far, it'd just be criminal to drop at that point.
I'm hoping that PNE:2, that perhaps implementing a prelimnary round [before the actual competition begins], might help aid this problem. But that's several months down the line, and I've got more time to think of how to combat the issue.

I have my plate full, that's for sure. XD PNE2 was gonna start after the Disney MEP II gets finished up, and I might get that started up in September. So PNE 2 will probably shoot up in June/March 2011.Angelyco wrote:And another Disney MEP to coordinateCode wrote:But that's several months down the line, and I've got more time to think of how to combat the issue.
But that's a long ways away.

Plus, I'd like to get this contest finished first, and THEN worry about things. But really, things are moving pretty smoothy. I CANNOT POSSIBLY SEE ANYTHING GOING WRONG.

Re: Project NeoEditor [Round 2 - Ends TODAY, 11:59 CST]
Well, given that most of the drops were because of circumstances around the time of editing, having a preliminary round earlier won't really do much to help prevent it. Drops will happen, instead of trying to stop them it would be better to have a plan for what happens when they occur. Alternates are not the best idea because unless it was the first round, they'd kinda be getting a free pass.
Personally, for the next PE, when drops happen I'd suggest continuing eliminations, perhaps just not as many per round, or not doing as many rounds and use the next round's amount of eliminations. Yeah, I know it'd make the contest shorter, but I imagine that could also lessen the amount of drops.
