Re: Project NeoEditor [Round 2 Judging - Ends July 4, 11:59 CST]

How about we take a week long break? Would that give everybody enough time to rest in between the rounds and not drop? I'm gonna finish it, no matter what, even if I compress the last few rounds into just a few more.

Personally, I don't see why we'd need a break or how it would help. Almost all of the drops have been because of being busy during a certain time, not from editing fatigue. So we take a break for a week, then what? Someone else might have something come up then. gotegenks said "a week or so" but taking a break until he could be back puts pressure on him and from the sounds of it, he's getting enough of that elsewhere.

However, I will say that for some of the editors, we are going at a breakneck pace, especially for those with work or other commitments that take up their time. Since the suggestion of taking a break and then coming back would extend the final results date anyway, how about we add a day to each round of editing? This could ease a bit of the stress and time budgeting problems.

I thought most of the vids were pretty good, albeit a number of them were kinda low on the "tribute" factor.
However, I was quite pleased with how well Angelyco did with that. \o/

hah, I wasn't wtfing that, I did exaggerate. I think there are only like 3 or 4 where I was like >_<...and I can tell who tried, but was just out of their element OR just maybe didn't have the time. I can tell effort apart from whatever, it don't matter though, I'm not judging on how much people cared or tried, I'm judging based on the scoring criteria.

I also couldn't help but notice that a fair number of the drops were former DZ studio members....it'd be a shame if Arashinome had an "accident" so close to the start of the next round...Image
