Editing Comforts

All I need is my laptop, some peace and quiet from my family, a decent pair of earbuds, a snack and soda on occasion, and inspiration. A comfy place to sit or lay down is always nice too, but that isn't always the case - sometimes I'm lucky to have free time at school where I can edit videos and those chairs are uncomfortable as heck.

Editing in the dark is hard on your eyes and trust me you don't want that...

The only things I do in the dark: Some colour corrections and quality checks of the final encodes of the video.

Well for me, I need some sort of inspiration, whether an edit I've seen or just an idea that pops in my head. Then onto the loop of death...

1.Open Vegas.
2.Get on Firefox.
3.Mess around on the web.
4.Go back to Vegas stare at it for 10 minutes.
5.Listen to some music ( usually overlaps with step 4. )
6.Put a source in Vegas.
7.Browse some more on Firefox.
8.6 hours have passed and nothing has been edited.
9.Fuck I just spent the day not editing like I had planned.
10.Close everything, go to sleep.
11.Repeat next day.

Yeah unless I get motivated and actually edit something.
