Could you have come up with a cooler name? This con sounds exactly like my video "Technoshock" :D

"Digital submissions to be 800x600 minimum."

uhhhhh

that's higher resolution than a DVD and higher than any (well, most) source footage that could be used to make an amv.

So you want us to scale the video upwards? Whats the point?

Are you guys confusing computer fullscreen resolution with television/NTSC resolutions? I'm tired so I can't exactly comprehend the point right now...

But I'd like to go to your con. I think PA needs a good con..since the last one (Takocon) died a sad lonely death.

Wow, a contest so advanced in resolution that no footage exists as of yet.. Maybe in 5 more years....

Tekkoshocon AMV rules wrote:Format to be mpeg, avi or quicktime.

What exactly is meant by these codecs? Does MPEG cover MPEG2 as well as MPEG1? What AVI codecs are acceptable? That you're accepting Quicktime seems to indicate that you're composing the master of the contest on a Mac, which can raise a whole nest of problems with codec compatibility.

Just trying to clarify,

We have discussed the AMV rules further and will be using similar rules as Ohayocon. The rules have been clarified and updated.
