Wow... while I'd have to choose between Gundam 0080 and Cowboy Bebop, in the end

I'd have to go with Cowboy Bebop.

Cowboy Bebop was a combination of everything that is first rate
Quality writing
Quality characters
Quality animation
and
Quality music

There was nothing wrong with this show - it even had a great dub. I always collect anime in Japanese (or watch it in Japanese on DVD) and Bebop is the ONLY TITLE in over 15 years of collecting that I have EVER prefered the English over the Japanese

and anyone who knows me knows that that's saying something.

Well, Bebop has plenty wrong with it, but there's just so much good there it's easy to ignore it. However, I'd have to say either Escaflowne or Saber Marionette J, depending if you're talking serious or comedy.

Bandai USA or Bandai Japan?

Bandai Japan would have to be Macross. Yes it was officially created by Studio Nue, but it's a Bandai Japan property (as is the entire franchise including 7! Yeah Macross7!)

Bandai USA?

Hmmmmm....prolly Bebop, as it's the only Bandai USA title I've ever paid for any of (and that was just the first disc....)

Huh?

I'd almost ask you what you thought was wrong with Bebop... but when you're putting Sabre Marionette J over Bebop... I guess I'm not interested in your answer.

Well, considering I specified Serious or Comedy...

But anyway, if you want to know, Bebop was very episodic in nature for an anime series, in otherwords, it had a pretty weak story arc with the majority of episodes being stand alone. Also, the majority of the episodes followed a simple plot formula and contained a lot of exposition, namely to explain who the bad guy was (pretty "monster of the week"-ish, actually). Upon closer inspection, the characters, although complex, were for the most part frozen in the series. Did Ed change? Did Spike change? Did Jet change? Faye has a small spark, but overall everyone is pretty much the same near the end... well, with one exception ^_^.

And as for not being interested in my opinion, well, you have Evangelion listed as number 2 in your Top 10 list, so I could hold the same value for yours.

hey, don't diss Saber Marionette J, it has to be on of the all time greatest and most emotional series ever. Fucking sad ending...
