Re: Live Action Videos [Hear me out please]
People won't be satisfied with just that, they want an entire section, that's the issue. If they'd be fine with just the thread, this topic wouldn't exist in the first place...
...really, what scares me the most is that if the section ever gets done, there will be an escalation of requests... there already have been...
@gote: phpbb offers searches within threads, and also ordering posts by nickname etc...

Re: Live Action Videos [Hear me out please]
I understand that, but unless the administration wants to put in that effort to make it [or if the administration is ever going to acknowledge this thread's presence], it's probably the best we'll ever get ever, and I'd think it'd be better than nothing.
I'm not speaking for the mob, I'm just saying it's a better alternative and compromise. IF they don't like it, then, at least they have SOMETHING.
Hell, same goes for the issue with the introductions forum. Why not just put a sticky thread in the General AMV section that says "Introduce Yourselves Here!" and leave a little form for them to fill out, if the administration/mods don't want to deal with a whole new section.
What I think it really boils down to is this. We just need an answer of some kind from somebody that has the authority to decide the fates of these two intertwined issues. Then the threads can be locked and our lives can continue onward.

it's a bit of a hassle, and that still doesn't provide a convenient way of getting a little feedback from people, which i think is the main thing we want out of it.mirkosp wrote: @gote: phpbb offers searches within threads, and also ordering posts by nickname etc...

Re: Live Action Videos [Hear me out please]
feedback from friends and other respected members* my bad.
joining a whole new community is an even bigger hassle, and who needs it, i just got used to the Org anyway.
i know we can just pm people, i know there are ways around it, but it'd be a lot more convenient/better/cooler to have a LITTLE something here.

Re: Live Action Videos [Hear me out please]
Oh Jesus Christ, this all just seems to come down to the mods and administration being fucking lazy as far as I can see. NO, THAT'D TAKE US 5 MINUTES TO DO AND IF IT WENT BELLYUP IT'D TAKE A WHOLE MINUTE TO REMOVE.
There have been multiple upsides stated to why we could do this, and no real downside.

Assuming people still had new LAMVs to post...
