allowed tags entering video info

Hi there,
When you are entering a new video and filling out it's information it says in the upper right corner that tags are allowed and a list of those that are.
I've tried it however and it doesn't seem to work, what am i doing wrong?
I know html and did it the same way.
i've tried blabla and [img]blabla.jpg[/img] but neither is working.
And when i look at other people's descriptions they sometimes do have an image added, or stuff in bold etc. Must be something i'm doing wrong then?
I've asked several people but haven't gotten a response yet, hope someone can help.

i'm sry i should have specified, i meant on the main site.
I've alrdy used vidid and img tags on the forum and they work.

However when entering info on the main page, it says i can use ''[allowed tags: a, img, i, u, b, em, strong, strike]'' but they aren't doing anything if i use them.

It's using "<></>" instead of "[][/]"
