Ok all, here is my situation. I have found one of my older AMV's on one of my HD's that I made a few years back, with all the original DVD rips and footage that I had thought I had lost quite some time ago. I thought it would be a breeze to get it compiled and working properly, but I have run into a bit of a snag in the resolution department.
All the original rips and DVD footage are 720x400 while windows movie maker only seems to support 720x480 output. When I play the video, it shows as a 4:3 aspect ratio even when I set the output to 16:9. If I force the player to 16:9 it will play in its fullscreen resolution. I have tried to convert the 720x480 output to 720x400 with 16:9 but it either crops it to fill or it will lock it in a 4:3 format. Any suggestions would be apprectiated to get the files playing normally in its 720x400 normal resolution properly.
Thanks
Adrian

Don't use WMM. Also 720x400 is a silly resolution and you shouldn't be using it without a good reason. If a decent encoding or editing app fails with it, then set the aspect accordingly.
