After taking a break I finished FFXIII D: (WTF?) Very unsatisfying ending -_-
(Now I'm collecting all the trophies, because I'm cool like that |:> )

I know it's not the popular thing to say, but I actually liked it. What irks me is that folks say it was too linear and yet for FFXII, the main complaint was "it's too open world!" Basically Square did what the fans wanted and then the fans got mad. Not to say the game isn't perfect, but overall I felt the story was fine and ultimately I had fun.

(I'm not yelling at you in the "fan" sense above, just an observation)

The only thing I *hated* as Vanille and her voice over. Maybe Hope and Snow a bit too >_>.

Hey trust me, normally I like the FF's people generally hate (8 par example), but 13 did not do it for me storywise (and I don't mind linear stories) =/
I was really into the whole Serah/Snow dealie, which for me was glazed over.

In general, so as not to potentially spoil anyone, the characters felt really underdeveloped for me, especially the villains, so by the end it was kind of a let down =/

I'm still in collector mode though, so I have about 20 missions left to five star and crystariums to expand >_>

I hated FF 8 >_>.

Anyway I can agree with you on the villains not being developed that much (another weakness of 8). However, overall I still enjoyed my 50+ hours playing through it so overall I call it a success (i.e. fun). Like you, I maxed out everything so the ADDITIONAL 50 hours to get the Platinum trophy were NOT as fun since 90% of that was farming turtles -_-;;.

Played through Fable 3. I enjoyed it but there was a big "WTF" moment at the end. I don't really mind what the developers did but it's a big slap in the face for a casual gamer like myself. dwchang would be pissed beyond words if he was in the same situation i was. It also felt like they were taking Dragon Age's approach a little, it didn't work so well. Fable 2 was a better game but I still enjoyed 3. I wouldn't pay full price for it (i used a free gift card from Best Buy they gave a few weeks ago).

If anyone else has it, I wouldn't mind doing a little co-op to get some achievements and open one of the Demon Doors.
