I would like to welcome you to the community!

Now that was a nice attempt, but as with any amv, there is room for improvement.

First off, I noticed that your output file was in wmv, and that is generally frowned upon. Might I suggest a guide to help you with encoding:

http://www.animemusicvideos.org/guides/ ... 64gui.html

Or a more general one:

http://www.animemusicvideos.org/guides/avtech31/

The current most widely accepted container on here is MP4 and codec is H.264. The visual quality wasn't even that bad, but I would highly recommend giving those a good and thorough read then coming onto the forums for any questions.

As for the amv, the beginning was nice, and most notably the pace was way more intact there than the rest of the amv. Afterword, your scenes were too long and dragged on, so I would try and make it more fast moving by including more and quicker scenes, especially for this type of song. Not to say you have to change the scene entirely, but at least get some good angle changes in there. Or even include scenes with more movement. Generally I try and make the viewer feel the music through the video, such as through external and internal sync. A brilliant guide to this kind of thing can be found here: http://www.animemusicvideos.org/forum/v ... =2&t=92942

In fact, I would study that guide intently, as it trumps anything I will say.

Probably the biggest scene I would modify is the one with the girl playing the violin. It doesn't match the music at all and it's very static (still) as opposed to the quick beat of the song. What might be interesting is putting some violent, explosive scenes overlapped with the violin playing, like 50% opacity or something to that effect. So you convey the idea of these apparently normal girls who would like nothing better than to play musical instruments but are in reality forced into a violent world. The sweet word to describe that is juxtaposition :awesome: Probably the best advice I can offer is to just increase your pace. Keep in mind that most people (myself included) have a very short attention span, and we like fast paced things. Probably a product of MTV.

I still need to watch this anime O_o, also I love nightwish, good song choice.

I think the right word you are looking for is empower. It was a good idea, but I would actually try to avoid lip sync until you get some more of the fundamentals down. One of my favorite lip sync videos is this: http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members ... p?v=172438

I understood you perfectly, and don't let dyslexia stand in the way of you participating in this community. There are genuinely good people here and we honestly couldn't care less.

In fact, I think you would be interested to know that the human mind can comprehend words as long as the first and last letter are in the correct position and most of the right letters are somehow present within the rest of the word, no matter how jumbled. It's an interesting argument for the need of spelling

Good luck in all your endeavors!
