Hey guys there's this troll that's being annoying.
I know! I'll make a thread about him, give him way more attention than he should be given for his improper behaviour in the process, and then scratch my head as to why nothing changes for the positive!
I can't believe you guys are sitting around bawwing about a script kiddie. This place has not changed at all. LOL.

what is this? I don't even... I think of a restraining order as a physical thing (and a court order, maybe a mark on your credit or something). But what does this really do to Cornwiggle in Cyberspace? He'll always be able to Email this guy or sign him up for newsletters and what not. Cyberspace is just the wild west. there's nothing you can do about it reallyPwolf wrote:not so much a restraining order for the org but silvernight could get one i'm sure.
And that goes for Oto too... the org is at no fault, it's Silver himself who made his contact info public (or directly told it to Cornwiggle).
That being said, it might do minimal justice, but it might be a good idea to get a restraining order on this guy. Or sue him if he does it again. Kids these days just have no respect for authority. But give it a second chance, perhaps he didn't know your situation.
Or if you want to be totally impatient you can sue him now lol. I'm sure messing with the military like that is probable cause to sue his ass.

A restraining order doesn't have to be physical at all and can involve non-direct communication as well (i'm not a lawyer so i might be wrong). either way, some kind of legal action should be available if thats the route you need to go. Even so much as having your lawyer contacting him to tell him there will be legal action against him if he continues might stop him from doing what he's doing. I would think the military would have some legal resource for you also, see if you can talk to a lawyer within the branch. Not sure what resource you guys have available out there though.

Just, as AaronAMV brought up, don't mention a-m-v.org lol. Just say this dude spam-bombed your mailbox thus causing you an unusual amount of personal trauma while in the field. That should be enough cause to get at least a cease and desist order done.

Part of me wants to say that maybe getting the authorities involved would be going a little too far, even for Cornwiggle. But I agree that he's barked up the wrong tree and now he must pay for it.Pwolf wrote:not so much a restraining order for the org but silvernight could get one i'm sure if he's causing him that much trouble. a solider who's out of the country fighting a war while trying to contact his family but can't because some asshole spammed his e-mail box. i think that should go over rather well in court not to mention put the prick in his place.

Internet threats with enough evidence are taken quite seriously. I used to know this annoying kid from an irc channel who hacked computer since he was 10 and by the time he was 15, he got arrested and was put into juvenile hall.
