Quicktime 6
Well, I dunno, but I got it, and the MPEG-4 implementation rules. I encoded my latest released music video here (Shameless plug) in almost the highest quality MPEG4 available, and the whole vid clocked in at 35 MB, shaving 15 MB off from my previous encode and having a higher level of quality. Wow... I'm happy
Any other AMV makers experiences? (And no bitching about the new reg key.... I'm pissed about that too)
Quicktime 6 final release is out!

wmp4player plays my MPEG-4 videos fine, but QuickTime 6 doesn't.
I tend to believe that means there's a problem with QuickTime 6's MPEG-4 playback options, though I suppose there could've been an encoding problem... But if there were an encoding problem, why would another MPEG-4 player be able to play it?

i was really excited about this, but the final result is not as inpressive as I had hoped. mpeg4 encoding is not very good looking, although playback is awesome. having to pay extra for mpeg 2 playback is ridiculous. familiar keyboard shortcuts have been changed around. bad call apple, this could have been better. and wtf is up with .mac? i like apple b/c they are mot M$, and now they are turning into M$.

eeewww....Quicktime.
in my opinion it sucks as bad as RealPlayer.
as for MPEG-4 on it, not really worth the time. MPEG-1 is still the best as far as compatibility and reliance.
