I just got a call from my boss and was told that I have a snow day off tomorrow. (O_o) I didn't think things like that really happened. I was pretty sure our company policy was more along the lines of 'Through rain, through sleet, through snow... You shall get your ass to work even if you have to goddamn teleport, and don't even THINK of calling in 'sick' unless you're dying.'

So for the past week, I've been attending an Air Force Non-Commissioned Officer Academy (which is weird for me since I'm Army), but in my class, we have a guy from the Japanese Self Defense Air Force (JSDAF) also attending with us and tomorrow we're having a push-up competition. So the following convo takes place between myself and the JSDAF guy:

Me: So what's up dude, how many push-ups are you going to do? Hyaku? (100?)
JSDAF: Hyaku? How 'bout Fa-Kyu!
Me: I totally just got burned in engrish... lol

I honestly didn't expect him to have a snappy response with his broken english and I think he was rather pleased that I got his joke, so we each had a good laugh

I am an awesome cook. But for all the things I can make, for some reason, I have never been able to make meatballs. Which is stupid. All the people I've known who aren't very good at cooking have been able to make meatballs. Which makes me feel even more stupid about not being able to do it. Well, last night, I finally (almost) successfully made meatballs. And the things that went wrong can very easily be fixed. *^_^* (Didn't bake for long enough and simmered for TOO long.)
