All I could do was say thanks and walk out of the store, I really wasn't in the mood to deal with any more idiots. I'll go into the computer store tomorrow before it closes.
tl;dr Walmart people are white trash, Staples employees are just fucking stupid
My brother picked up a HDD @ BestBuy not that long ago and told me it was within $10 of what newegg had it for, though, so I suppose there are some places worth going if you need it right away.
