I just looked in the AMVS5 folder and there are only four clips in it.
So we don't have even ONE minute of material at the time.

I like the idea of the side effects. I'm not sure how we might be able to get Steven Colbert side effects, or whatever, those may be more fun to put clips to, but normal ones work as well. I can't think off the top of my head which of the commercials I know are the most ridiculous. I'd imagine taking some of the better love scenes from animes like Clannad and such would be great for the side effects, since they always show happy people in god damn fields as they read off the things that will cause your bowels to explode.

Also, moonbunnychan, mind if I take a look at some of your stuff? I can't believe you have that much done already. Usually we all go to the wire ^^

I finally got around to extracting the MANY clips from the ZIP she sent.
Half of them were LOL-worthy and the rest showed potential.
I'll make a brief critique list and pass it along.
And now that the creative mojo seems to be rolling again I think we'll be okay.
That is as long as everyone hard-wires the production schedule (first post) into their psyches...

Is there a list of shows already being used? I am obviously way out of the loop. I seem to remember last year there was a list of taken shows (I remember because I was concerned about Family Guy XD)

....I just got some sort of ~~divine~~ satanic inspiration for combining Veggie Tales and Death Note/Kira supporting stuff. Uh. ...I also need to come up with more things that are not Death Note. I swear to god it's been over two years and the series will not leave my brain. Ever.

As far as when I'll be able to start working, I likely won't be of much help until after March 10 - having my master's recital then, and I still have to memorize .... everything. 50 minutes worth of music in multiple languages including Russian and Czech (what the HELL was I thinking?) I'd be at Katsucon the whole weekend if it weren't for that. :/

You seem to be much faster than I at doing these things, so you should be fine with a couple of months. Just make sure to jot down your ideas and collect footage over the time you're prepping so that you can get at least a few done when you have some time to sit down. And do NOT be afraid to use Death Note again if you think it's worth it. Hell if you could get Near talking like the gay guy with the mustache from Family Guy this time, I don't think anyone would mind one more ^^ Can you picture him doin' that...? "Aoh neeaoohh!"

Anyway, at this rate methinks AMVS5 should be renamed to something like "Kosher Hot Dogs" or something considering how much religious and children stuff we'll be decimating apparently.

Guess I should ask. moonbunnychan said she's done two K-on clips, and I'm working on two myself, anyone else doing K-on clips? If so I'll drop my second one potentially depending what others are doing. I'm not sure I even know I can pull it off, but I need another day to try to find applicable footage.

Anyone else aiming for K-on?

Yeah one of my ideas uses K-ON, although I'm not finished (Premiere pro is pestering me).
I'm not sure if it's really 'ha ha' funny though. It uses http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid ... 8776485966# "smells like nirvana", the part about 'a garage band from ..'.

It's not really on-topic and if yours is more funny it's no problem to drop it for this entry.

I've got like 3 ideas half finished, but due to (a huge) lack of time (in the future) and Premiere Pro bugging me I just hope I can get 1 or 2 entries in.
