Only 5 months into my job, 2 big departments want to promote and give me a raise in the next month or so granted I *only* do work for the department I chose.

Things are still being ironed out among the big-wigs, but the next few weeks should be interesting. Maybe I can make both Otakon and NDK!

My new PC build is finally complete! Installed the 2nd set of 8GB of RAM to bring it to a 16GB total. Installed the GPU (XFX Radeon 6870HD) and did some sucessfull tests with LOL, Pangya, and FF14 Benchmark. Finally bought a new keyboard and mouse (mine were 14 years old by now and in dire need of replacing) which fixed my power shot problem in pangya and the jerky scroll wheel issue. Still taking some getting used to for the keyboard since the \ key is right where I used to hit the shift normally (right shift is smaller then \i'm used too...)

Now I can game when I feel like gaming and edit when I feel like editing. But rather then game now I think I shall lazy on my couch and play SNES or watch the new BDs I got from netflix today....

Holy shit, 5 Hour Energy actually works! After laying on my ass all weekend, I got all my homework and projects for the previous week finished in 3 hours.

I also gotta say... Work is fabulous! I'm expecting my work contract for after graduation any day now.

We hired another lady to work in our office who does NOTHING BUT PAYROLL. Which means that I no longer have to do it anymore!

More importantly, I can exclusively work on tax returns now, which is what I LOVE to do.

- Finally got my hair chemically straightened after years of bitching about my curly hair (and shaving my head for 3 years) and it looks awesome.
- Got a bitching new leather watchband.
- Moved into a new place with an ex-coworker who I get along great with and our new roommate seems pretty cool too.
- Splurged and got myself a PS3 and a 32" 1080p TV after returning from Chicago.
- Just got offered a position in the Payroll team at my current workplace with a pay increase, which I will be accepting.
- 50% through a video I started tonight which I've been wanting to edit for a couple of years now.
- Got a number of people coming over to our place tomorrow afternoon for a bbq and beers.

Fuckwin.

2011 is way better than 2010 thus far (for those that are unaware: 2010 was my worst year - excluding 6 amazing weeks visiting Chicago peeps again).

Because the Payroll team is a lot more relaxed and I'm on a little more money I'm thinking about seeing how early I can head back to Chicago again >.>
