Re: Vent Thread
My upper back and neck have been in almost constantly increasing pain for over a week now, pretty much destroying my ability to sleep and, now, making me take time off from work.

I've had the same problem but with my shoulder. Comes and goes. I have some amazing pain killers though, soBasharOfTheAges wrote:My upper back and neck have been in almost constantly increasing pain for over a week now, pretty much destroying my ability to sleep and, now, making me take time off from work.

Re: Vent Thread
Had a similar thing happen to me over the summer when I was working at a book publisher (cuz there weren't any other jobs out thar). Ended up tweaking my back pretty good, which made it pretty painful to get out of bed, sit down (and stay seated) and stand back up again (in addition to not being able to bend over or twist).BasharOfTheAges wrote:My upper back and neck have been in almost constantly increasing pain for over a week now, pretty much destroying my ability to sleep and, now, making me take time off from work.
Ended up seeing a chiropractor ~5 times over about 3 weeks and that fixed it. YMMV, but it's worth looking at if you haven't already (it beats pain killers and hope).

Re: Vent Thread
Chiropractor care is one of the greatest things mankind has invented.
I started feeling back pains a year ago and held them off until Jan when I FELT LIKE I WAS BEING STABBED IN THE BACK FROM UNDER THE BED. Plus, the pain spread all the way to my chest, so I thought I was gonna die.
DO NOT wait to fix a back problem. You can't put a price on your health.

Owwie. My mouth is sore. I had a filling removed on the upper right side so that they could put newer, better stuff in, but they kept jamming stuff into my cheek and gumline. I keep going to lean my head against my hand and forgetting that it is tender to the touch. It even hurts to smile. >_o

EDIT: ha, extra surprise vent. : / My mother's way of dealing with bills is to let them go into collection, but I'm not a fan of racking up debt like her, so I just got a call out of the blue a minute ago saying I owe 220-ish dollars on a bill. (My mother is relevant here because she deals with the insurance and thus is the one who handles the bills, so I don't generally know what I owe on anything until they spring this shit on me.) Gee, I guess I get to cut $200+ worth of corners on my spending money now. *sigh*

Re: Vent Thread
Despite that fact that I hate getting up in the morning I've basically been accustomed to waking up in the morning over the last few years for work. Now I have to deal with a rotating schedule which includes 3rd shift. This week I'm on 3rds. My sleep and social schedule is shot up all to hell due to this. Not that it's much to complain about, just annoying.
Even more annoyingly though, after the car I'm borrowing and just gotten back from the shop due to pot-hole damage maintenance, I pull out of the office this morning (well, yesterday after shift) and I get no farther then 5 feet from the drive way and the car just dies! Electric, engine, everything just went dead. Woo! The borrowed car I'm driving while I'm shopping for a new one just died on me! So now rather then getting home at 8:30 and hitting the sack I don't get home till 10am after the tow and I couldn't get to sleep till 11am, totally screwing up what chances I had of waking up early before shift tonight in order to accomplish anything...
The kicker on all of this though, is that once the car was safely back at home (since the owner wanted it towed there rather then to a shop) the damn thing starts right up and runs no problem! WTF???

AT&T putting a cap on dsl/u-verse users. My netflix, various streaming (org/youtube/hulu), online gaming and general browsing is gonna take a hit. Monitored my use over the past week and it's something like 40 gigs and I've barely been home this week. I'm gonna destroy that 250gb cap, smh.

Re: Vent Thread
train got canceled. ended up being a bus instead. apparently the train hit another train car or something and couldn't be used or didn't get to kingston or something. bus would've arrived long after my interview and even if it would arrive on time, I hate buses. Like I really hate them. So my interview at York has to either be rescheduled or canceled.
