I'll never forget the first time he reviewed one of my vids. Overlines, it was like: You suck, but you got a chance. Too bad he's not gonna give my revenge in the next Akross Con

gah...im sorry i wasnt able to post immediately. Godix was definitely one of my favorite editors on here. I found his outlook on editing amvs hilarious at times, and sometimes I even took it seriously...(probably when I shouldn't have)

He was an amazing editor and an amazing person...and he will be missed :(
godix wrote:Like this one amv. It was all like woosh, zoom with effects. And I was all like whoa awesome. Then that guitar thingies popped up and went dun dun DUN dun then those box thingies went zooming by and twirling around and shit. Oh god, then the hexagons popped up and I was like 'I just got a stiffie'. Then there was the circle with those thingies going around and I blew my load.

From the few times I chatted with him on IRC, I can say he was a truly open-minded and intelligent person. I know I fell for many of his "traps" on the past (the 0-score-free-opinions and signature pointing to your videos) but it was never something personal, but something you would look back after some time and laugh at yourself. He was good at making funny remarks and insults.

Now I have to remove my signature, bastard.

No idea why I suddenly want to edit a song godix recommend me last year. Wish he could watch the vid once it's completed. Now, can I ask to godix's friends, what kind of music did he like?

I just found out thanks to Brad's announcement in the 2nd amv IC thingy.
In fact it was during my anime club that i decided to show the video and was just blindsided.
I called FS and asked what happened.
Godix and I had been upset with each other for a while. He thought I was avoiding him, but as I kept telling him, I was too busy with school. The last message I got was an apology.
I wasn't able to be on IRC due to my busy schedule.
I know me and godix were extremely close. We exchanged Christmas gifts and talked long into the night about anything and everything.
Recently, (like 6 months ago) we were watching Soul Eater together and making comments as we watched.
Because of the fight, we finished the series on our own time.
He told me that he wanted to start watching Princess Tutu. (that was told to me in the apology.
There are many people I enjoy talking to on IRC, but he was the real reason I went on there. He's been my friend since day one, and every day, every...single...day...he would ask me for "titty pics" and he always got a big fat "nope." and he would go "auu..."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I admired his ability to find humor in everything. I really hope to live by that. He could turn any situation good with a wise crack or two.
I will always have Christmas presents to remember him by, and a key-chain on my school bag. He had the determination to go back to school and finish, and I know that determination was passed down to me.
He was a cherished,and loved friend and I will remember him forever.
I can't think of any more to say, plus I wanna go cry now.
As godix would say every night before I went to bed, "good night, sweet dreams."
Godix, good night and sweet dreams.
I teared up a bit reading that, Kenz. :cry:
Not much to add that hasn't already been said, really. But even though he would answer my questions about random things in the most abrasive way possible or rip on me for something stupid I'd done, it was always to make sure the underlying point was remembered. And I think that was part of the reason he did it. I also remember for a while I would immediately be greeted with "audio?" on a constant basis in IRC while I was working on cleaning up the voice clips he sent me for DSM-IV. My small contribution on that project allowed me to get to know him more as an editor and an artist and not just the funny guy who rips on everyone. He had talent, always knew how to make his point stick, and will be missed.
RIP, godix (because you would smack me for suddenly using your given name after all this time, lol).
