things are a mess, i have no idea what to do. still short on rent, no job prospects, car is almost out of gas, roommates are moving out, going to need even MORE rent at the end of this month, but i suppose that won't matter if i can't pay all of THIS month. at this rate i'll end up homeless in just over a week.

sorry for super-depressed rant, i really really needed to vent that somewhere, and Facebook/twitter/socialcrap wasn't an option without bringing drama down on my head :\

It's great and sucks at the same time to process other employee's (even out of state ones) promotions. I was told months ago I'd get one too, but now it's unlikely it'll ever happen. :(

It just makes you feel behind as everyone else passes you by.

But I'll use this as motivation because when I become Hokage, I'll become stronger than anyone. Believe it!

stupid cunt
Unfortunately some like to hide the real truth by making themselves sound better than others. He's probably either A: The biggest player alive and doesn't have a clue how to actually satisfy a woman. B: Is sitting at home with his beer, watching the game alone.

Don't let others get to you. It was supposed to make him sound better than you and obviously with a comment like that he's probably not much better off than you are.

*cough*

One of my users called the help desk during my lunch break so I answered it. She had lost a word document she was using because she didn't save it. When I asked her if she had saved it she said that it auto saved. This was rather odd to me because I don't remember word having an auto save option. So I kindly informed her that I wasn't aware of that feature but she was positive it was there and wanted me to find her auto save. So after much searching and much failing to find anything related to an auto save or her document I kindly appologized to her saying that I cannot find anything related to auto save and unless she had saved the file manually, there was nothing I could do. She promptly said that I must find it. I again told her that there was nothing I could do if she didn't save it herself. At that point she then blamed me for the problem stating that it was me and my department that forced her to use this software when auto saved worked before.

Now, a little background information, we switched everyone over to Office 2007 over a year ago (maybe two years) but she had been using Windows XP on her laptop. We just recently re-imaged her laptop with Windows 7 but she is still using Office 2007. Other than the fact that Word doesn't have an auto save feature (auto recovery is different) that I'm aware of, she has been using the same software for over a year. There is no way she could've been using this auto save feature she mentioned. In the same sense, if the feature did exist and she knew about it, then she should be able to show me where these auto saves are saved. of course the best part was when she told me this problem has happened multiple times int he past where she lost her document and there was no autosave...

I don't mind the occasional angry user but don't blame me or my department for your own screw ups and lack of common sense. You don't ASSUME anything is automatically saved, you save it yourself.

DW exclusive moves can't be bred, even if both parents are from the Dream World. So much for Jolly max Speed Aerodactyl with Stealth Rock. :(

Ugh, the scheduling managers at work are so incompetent. Everyone's schedules are all fucked up and they are every week, we have to all scramble and switch to get things even partially righted. I asked for weekends off, someone from my section asked for weekdays off. I'm scheduled on weekends (Next Saturday, in fact, ACen Saturday) and she's scheduled on weekdays. Or having me in a department I barely know (MJM), and scheduling someone from MJM to work in my department which they, in turn, barely know...AT THE SAME TIME! And I don't want as many hours as they keep giving me, they started out at about what I wanted and have been tacking on more each week so that I'm essentially full-time but not reaping any benefits from it besides stressing myself out for minimum wage.

That aspect coupled with the fact that no one there other than ONE manager ever gives me any positive feedback. I /know/ I'm damn good at my job. If there's a list of things to do, I'm the only one who does it. And the supervisor for my section tells the store manager that "no one does anything", so now they're all up ons about doing work that I've BEEN doing. It's just not worth it. I got the job because Kit works there too and said it was a great place to work. And it is....for him. They seem to have favorite employees or something because I work my ass off and ask for ONE thing (weekend thing) and I get the second degree. It's just like...no matter what I do I'm always getting shafted in one way or another. Every job I have I get taken advantage of because I'm dependable and good at my job, so they keep on piling up more stuff on me, all the while treating me like I don't do anything. It's like I'm in some sort of abusive relationship with my employer....

Yep, that's exactly it. That's why it always hurts to hear about this stuff you (and a couple of other people I know) go through at work, only BECAUSE they're so reliable and honest at what they do. So somehow it winds up with the employer taking that for granted rather than something that takes a lot of effort, and being total dicks :|

All I hope is that someday you get to work somewhere that isn't run by abusive jerks!
