AMV EFFECT How do you do this?
can you tell me how he did the effect at 0:12-0:24 and 0:38-0:40

What software are you using? He used AE for those effects so if you're using AE it shouldn't be very complicated. (I'm sure someone else can explain, I'm not very good with AE). Or do you want to simulate the effects using different software?

And if you look at his explanation video at the 1:54 mark, the image on the screen looks similar to the effects in his color blind video that happens at 0:12-0:24. The only difference is that in his color blind video, he had 2 layers of clips. So instead of chroma key causing part of the video to become black, it caused the bottom layer video to become apparent. The top layer was chroma keyed out in order to partially show a lower layer, and the bottom layer was given some kind of shimmer effect to make it look glossy.
Id also recommend checking out some of his AMV logs. They are very informative
