It's hard to say what's more frustrating, that it just stopped being covered by the warranty, or that if I hadn't gotten some new pieces for my computer, I could probably replace it.
R.I.P.
My recommendation: Get an xbox slim.

Re: Vent Thread
Andre, you can actually sell the broken xbox for a decent price like $60+ on ebay if you mentioned it's never been fixed before.
There's still a huge market for people who buy broken xboxes and repair them. I would highly recommend against having your repaired since I assume it's an older model and it'll probably just go bad again.

It's one of the new-ish ones, but still 3+ years, so outside the warranty. And yeah, I actually really wanted to get a slim when they first came out, but obviously it didn't make sense. Once I can afford it, at least I have a reason to nowCastor Troy wrote:Andre, you can actually sell the broken xbox for a decent price like $60+ on ebay if you mentioned it's never been fixed before.

And thanks for the heads-up, I might look at listing it.

The better ones that don't break down as much were manufactured past Nov 2008. I assume yours is probably before that date.Kristyrat wrote:It's one of the new-ish ones, but still 3+ years, so outside the warranty. Definitely sell it and get a slim.

Re: Vent Thread
My neck is killing me again. It was fine for about a week, and now it's back. I'm fine when I'm at my computer, but the moment I stand or move (or walk!) I get little jolts of pain. I'm not sure how I keep doing this. x_x
