The theme is Final Fantasy. Anything and everything FF related. Other videogames are still acceptable sources. The format is rapidfire AMV Hell-style clips (less than 30 seconds) and usually dark or clever juxtaposition humor. Generally, videos that should never be made or would not be watchable as full 3 to 5 minute long videos.
The project is now set for an Otakon 2012 premiere in the Fan Parodies block. Castor Troy is lead coordinator with final say on which videos are approved. All the nasty business of combining, arranging and facilitating is lumped on SSGWNBTD with some help from Zarxrax (TM). A revised and possibly longer re-premiere will be likely for Anime Weekend Atlanta 2012.
Efforts are being put toward collecting FMV footage from FF games for dissemination via filesharing sites. Does anyone have a favorite now that megaupload is dead? It would be nice to see some FF1 through 6 jokes in there as well. Plenty of people still remember 8-bit theater.. I'm sure a few references to 8BT memes would go over well with a 2012 audience. 2D FF games get re-released every few years; enough people have played them to understand the jokes.
