Where is the server actually located? I got pretty unplayable lag when I logged on with the info you sent me.

On my PC, so in middle of Europe.

I got info from melee that the lag improved after some time, so it's possibly it has to do with downloading the whole map to your PC at first. Notch worked on optimizing this for 1.6 (implementing seeing distance), which should be out tomorrow.

Actually, not sure why I neglected to say anything, but for the past couple of days, I haven't been able to play at all. I don't know if it's just extreme lag, but I can watch the sun/moon move across the sky for about 10 seconds then it resets it's position and starts again. *shrug* Just gonna wait to see what 1.6 changes. *goes back to single player*

Updated... dunno how much it'll help, though - might be better to server it in US to have smaller lag for more people, maybe.

EDIT: Updated to 1.6.3 as well.

If it's in Europe chances are it'll be pretty unplayable for most people here in US. I'm all the way on the East Coast and I still had a lot of issues there. Maybe we could work on setting up both USA servers and EU servers for AMV-Minecraft?

It's been a long time since I've been around but I'd be interested in joining an AMV dedicated MC server. Currently, the only server I take part in is the resident BYOND server.
