Had a good meeting with my supervisors yesterday which leaves me (almost) free of work for the rest of the summer. So next week I'm off to North Carolina to drink whiskey, smoke cigars, shoot guns, and watch ponies with certain AMVers (and without any work to worry about)
The rest of the summer looks pretty good too and I'll be seeing a whole bunch of people I hadn't seen in a while, relaxing at mah cottage, and otherwise finally getting a break that I've not had in like 4 years, though I probably won't be around online too much as a result. Yay rest/people.

The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

Audit case #2 is done. My boss came into the office back from vacation when I was working on it early this morning and thanked me personally. Very gratifying, because I know that the manager probably would have taken all the credit on BOTH of them.
I also asked for a few days off next week, to make up for all the overtime I did last week, and I was granted it. Yay!

I'm sore, but had an amazing day with my friends and girlfriend. We've already also planned to hang out tomorrow and Monday, should be an awesome week.

Got done with my first Allergy evaluation in over 10 years today. It's been hard the past few days since I had to go off my normal regulatory medication but after this year's grass season I knew I needed to get re-evaluated. Found I'm no longer allergic to a lot of what I used to be, however I'm even more allergic to others, like Grass, Dogs, and Cats. Doctor wants me to try using Zyrtec as it's stronger then Claratin (what I've been using) as a first step while we find a medication that will work for me. I'm also trying out a sample of a nasal spray to see how it fairs and I'm going to start getting shots again.
I still kinda itch from the test and my symptoms are somewhat flaired right now, though the spray, the allegra, and the benadryl I took at the office is helping (usually takes a few days for it to really work.) I get my first shot next Saturday. Can't wait to start preventative maintenance and hopefully with the doctor's help I'll find the right combination of meds so I'll finally be able to be somewhat sociable and less drippy during Grass and Mold seasons. The office is a bit out of my way, but it's worth the drive in order to see a doctor that's actually available during the hours I don't work.
Now I just need to get in to see a general practitioner and have a physical done and my blood pressure monitored (apparently I'm a little higher then normal.) Got a referral from the allergist for a doctor who is available on Saturday's. So that's next on my list. Then I think I need to find a chiropractor open late or on the weekends to work on my back and maybe get some orthotics for my flat feet again.
I may bitch from time to time about my job and the pay I get for what's expected of me and how little free time I have anymore, but I really wouldn't trade my benefits for nothing. I've gone far too long without insurance and regular medical attention. Time to put my coverage to work ^^

I'm finally quitting my crappy-ass job in August to go back to school and get another degree in something that is not only awesome, but will be able to land me a real job. After that I will be taking a much-needed vacation to Canada to see my sweety.
