This could be because you speed run Fatal Frame II three times before breakfast every day.
Ain't that the truth.

Although, you bring up a relevant point. Maybe my tolerance for fear is higher because of things like that. Yet, when I think about my reaction to playing BioShock for the first time in comparison to playing anything out of the Silent Hill or Fatal Frame series for the umpteenth time, those latter games still make me more uneasy, even though I know what's coming and I'm not worried about dying.

I guess it must have been in the presentation of BioShock. Anyway, I still really enjoyed the game; I was just missing the scares is all.

EDIT: also, started Final Fantasy XIII yesterday. It's better than FFXII, but that's not really saying much. Sad to see that they kept the idea of "auto-fighting" from the previous game. Way to take away what little gameplay I get to have in an RPG, Square. On the other hand, battles are much faster-paced, which is welcome, but I would have liked the ability to control my character's movement on the field, since his/her death means a game over. Environments are gorgeous, music seems pretty good so far, and the story is interesting. I don't really like taking ten minutes out every half hour to read over datalog documents to get half of the story, though, but they namedrop so many things without explanation of what they are that it's sort of a necessity. Lots of the typical Japanese, "I'm going to hold my thoughts in my heart and not tell anyone anything about me" crap going on with the characters. Lastly, Vanille's voice actress needs to pick an accent and stick with it. Despite all of these seemingly negative points, I'm enjoying the game. I'm just a nitpicky person, and I'm coming into this with a Debbie Downer on my shoulder, since I haven't truly gotten into any of the FFs since the tenth game.

I’m playing GTA IV and Final Fantasy Versus XIII, the two games are totally awesome and use to play them very often.

Borderlands is the shit if you've got friends to play it with |:>

As for me, I finally got around to finishing "American McGee's Alice" so now I'm playing "Alice: Madness Returns" and while I just started, I <3 it. I like-ums the hack n slash x] And while I normally HATE projectile-esque weapons in a hack n slash games, I am seriously diggin the pepper grinder :3

KotOR. And Borderlands. KotOR is better though. Borderlands has more action.

Hehehe. Actually, I went to a flea market and got some titles instead.

Now I'm playing Dark Cloud, Baten Kaitos and Skies of Arcadia for 15 dollars total. ;)

Now that the marathon over and I'm not playing another Tales game for at least a month

I finally started on a few games I've picked up in the last week. Those being Shadow of Destiny (PS2), Beyond Good & Evil (PS2), Psychonauts (PS2), Star Ocean: Till the End of Time (PS2), and Golden Sun: Dark Dawn (DS). (all but Golden Sun are used but it was only $15..I still have it in it's warping)
