AVCON 2011 (July 22-24)

Greetings fellow editors!

It's almost time for AVCon 2011 so I figured I should start advertising around for it.

There will be an AMV competition as well as an AMV Iron Editor competition.

The main AMV competition will be open to all Australian and International editors. However, the AMV Iron Editor competition requires that all competitors are present at the convention!

Rules for the competition as well as how to enter can be found on the following page:

deadline for the main AMV competition is Wednesday July 13th! deadline for entering the iron editor comp is July 3rd! (this gives us time to mail out the sources to all competitors before the competition!)

Oh and if you dont want to enter the competition but want your video to be aired, feel free to send us a link and we'll try to squeeze it into the exhibition/comedy hour!

entries for the main competition will be closing this Wednesday! Send your entries in ASAP! at the moment, we have plenty of trophies and prizes for winners!

sorry guys, been busy juggling uni and work.

it seems i have to apologise to all international entrants.

one of the sponsors for the prizes of the AMV competition has expressed that they will not post prizes internationally, and due to some changes with the avcon committee members, we are no longer allowed to accept international entries for the competition. im not sure why they didnt inform us of these changes earlier though.

and once more, sorry about the last minute change to the competition. hopefully next year the sponsors will allow us to accept international entrants since the international entries that were sent in were of really high quality.
