Re: What are you playing?
Finished Final Fantasy XIII.
You know, I never played FFXI or XIV, not being an online gamer, and FFXII I dropped about ten hours in because I found it incredibly boring. I thought I would give FFXIII a chance since it had gotten such good reviews.
I have no idea what people were talking about. What a disappointment! The story and characters are weak (did they really think I was going to get emotionally invested in the deaths of marginal characters who appear for all of three scenes or less?), and don't even get me started on the battle system. Square clearly doesn't bother with much play-testing, or they don't take their testers opinions into account. A lot of the illogical garbage would have been weeded out if they did. Also, ONE sidequest? Seriously? It's not even fun! It's just tedious grinding. Don't get me wrong. I like challenges. I'm normally the person who goes off and beats all the special extra bosses, maxes out my powers, et cetera, but this game just isn't fun. The only reason I'm bothering to finish up the missions is because I only have five left, and as the PlayStation 3 I'm using is borrowed, I may as well do everything available, as I won't be able to play the game again. (Not that I think I ever will.)
The one thing for which I will give it major props is the soundtrack. It's actually very good. Even when I wasn't into a piece, I felt like most of them matched the sections of the game well. Aside from that...
Rest in peace, Final Fantasy series. FFX is the last time you ever got it right, buddy, but we'll always have the memories, right?
Anyway, after that train wreck, I think I need to dork it up and play some good, wholesome Lego Harry Potter. No frustration, no raging, no forehead slapping - just giggly, childish fun. Game Four of my summer marathon, COMMENCE!

God yes, I'm on the side of people hyped for him.
Playing Catherine and loving every second, I've heard a bunch of people say they hate the puzzle/brick gameplay but I enjoy it. Unlike something like Portal you have to use your head and quickly or you'll die rather than having 20 minutes to just sit and figure it out.

Catherine [DE PS3] as well
So far loving it. The nightmare puzzles are fun, not too hard but not too easy. I've only had a issue on one because I'm trying to get all the coins and the boss kept catching up. The story telling is just fantastic and I love Vincent's facial expressions.
Not really spoilers about the game's story but:
Starting stage 5 now.

Just finished stage 5 and my meter is 100 percent Katerine. I'm gonna do a second playthrough for Catherine when I'm done.............Also this game made me realize how lame I am cuz all my honest answers are the "good" answers.

Yea, if I can I want to get all the endings, currently not sure which one I'm gonna get in this run. Also I keep laughing that I'm nice to everyone in the game (including both K&C) however all but 1 answers were 'bad' in the cathedral section XDcompetitionbros wrote:

I said I'd stop for the night after stage 5 but the cutscene after it makes me wanna see how it turns out.
