Yea Kenshin is pretty cool but i like Arucard from hellsing, hes just so freaky, also maybe Shiroi Kumo from FF:U

I can't choose a character to put above the rest. It's too hard for me to choose someone. But since this is the topic of the thread... I'll go with Samurai Jack. Wait, that's not anime. So I'll choose Shinji. Not because he's winny, not because he's cool and not because he may sometimes kick ass, but because I just see him and get that feeling I can understand him (not really, but too damn hard to explain).

D, hands down, he has the best qualities of alucard and vash and he's in a black coat instead of a red one.

Alucard is buff, but he is also the biggest tightass/dumbass in all of anime. He cares about noone but himself, he is a hypocrit, a megalomaniac, a jerk, prick, and pretty much everything that is not good or like-able.

Vash is an all around nice and caring person, he embodies all that I like in a character except for one thing. He's a goof-ball, and in an anoying and uncomedic way.

D has the best qualities of BOTH these hero's. In bloodlust he starts out kicking ass and taking names, and as the movie wears on you discover what a nice and caring person he is. Unlike Alucard, who has killed more inocent people then every other enemy ever fought COMBINED, D has never killed a human once. And unlike Vash, who hides his pain and sorrow by anoying people with bad jokes and acting clumsy, he just keeps his mouth shut.

So in summary, I like D because he kicks ass and is still one of the nices characters in any anime.

CaTaClYsM, I agree with what you said about D being badass and nice at the same time but Arucard's attitude is what makes him Arucard, his evil pysicotic, only looking out for himself attitude

and thats what makes him unique in my opinion, the procrastonator is actualy twisted evil and thats what makes him a unique character in my opinion.

Still if i were going for the badass/quiet/nice type D would be pretty ovious... 8)
