Re: Manly anime for manly men.
This combination is awesome XD
I wish the vid could have a bit more in the line of story/direction, as the timeline of the anime skipped around a lot, and there wasn't a lot in the line of direct lyric sync. But you captured a lot of the memorable scenes from the series and synced them quite well tot he song. It had a nice energy to it, so it was quite fun to watch.
There seemed to be a few scenes that flashed for a slip second between cuts, so that's something to keep an eye out for.
Nice work, Pokemon is indeed manly \o/

Your scene selection was nice, and you did a good gob at keeping the video interesting, but I think that you could have done a little more with the way that you synced this. You used mostly hard cuts and beat syncs, but some nicely edited lyric syncs and crossfades would have benefited the video.

Agree with the lack of sync, otherwise it was great. lol'd at misty ass.
Now make a Orange League AMV using "You're The Best" from Karate Kid, as its the only time he ever won anything.

I had some issues with the lack of a sense of "time" in the scene selection, and a few odd cuts here and there, but this is a fantastic video and I enjoyed it immensely.

Re: Pokemon Indigo: Never Forget
The season ends on a pretty depressing note with both Ash and Ritchie losing the Pokemon League, and not only losing but losing to some girl we'd never even heard of. I wanted to add some nods to the first generation games in addition to Gary showing up at all of the most inopportune times, and while there's no Elite Four in the first season, there is Giovanni and Mewtwo. In the games, you fight Giovanni at Team Rocket's secret hideout, which you gain access to after finding the switch hidden behind the poster at the casino. While the season ended with the Pokemon League, the movie came out after that, finishing out the Mewtwo and Giovanni subplots the anime introduced just before the League started. So I decided to try and combine those three storylines-- invading Team Rocket HQ, fighting Giovanni, and fighting Mewtwo in the last verse/chorus.CodeZTM wrote:I had some issues with the lack of a sense of "time" in the scene selection, and a few odd cuts here and there, but this is a fantastic video and I enjoyed it immensely.
Probably more than you cared to know, ahaha, but for what it's worth. Just wanted to explain where I was coming from.
Thanks for all of the feedback, guys! Not to play the novice card or nothing, but it is my second amv ever, so I've been pretty excited with how it turned out.
