Are you stupid? That has everything to do with it. A huge chunk of the SATs are vocabulary. Anyway, a person that has anything below a college reading level can barely do any good research at all. A lot of times, kids end up plagarizing because they have no idea what they are even reading.ryu amata wrote:What's the reading level got to do with it?

I just wish you could choose more of your classes in high school. I end up wasting 4 semesters because they screwed up my schedules by adding classes i didn't need that i didn't want.

My schedules are okay. I'm not applying myself much at all in eight grade. I don't even know why the eigth grade is in the high school. Our entire high school has 876 students, and it's public. It's also five grades. Anyway, I have to get all five point o GPAs, and the only way to get it without AP courses is to join chorus and band, in which you recieve a grade. I don't know about band, though. Maybe I'd join the pep band or the jazz band, but I don't know if that would bring up my GPA or just be an extra curricular activity. I know it's really hard to get into jazz band, and the only instrument I'm partial to is the piano. Hmm... Maybe I'll settle for a four point two-five until I get my AP coarses. Or maybe I'll blackmail my mother into signing me out of school at sixteen...

I tend to forget that people actually have problems with that stuff. I know i'm no genius, and to be truthful not as hi up as you guys say you are, but i have never had any trouble with reading or reports of any size. Are you stupid? That has everything to do with it. I agree. I can't understand why someone won't pull out a dictionary when they don't understad something! I'm glad my school district has reformed, and has now started SAT prep at second grade, with the Oxford-Sadlier vocabulary series. They may be easy words, but suprisingly enough, many students are hearing them for the first time.ryu amata wrote: I tend to forget that people actually have problems with that stuff. did you even read what vegeta wrote? YOU WILL BEG!!! You don't seem to understand, in a fucked up and tedious school system it doesn't matter how smart you are, the difficulty of classes lie in the work. When you ge tinto REAL high school next year (being at the building just isn't going to cut it) you'll start research papers once a year, if you're in high classes like pre-ap and aps you may do two a year. These papers a joke themselves. I think teachers ask like 2 to 5 pages. These 35 page papers vegeta mentioned arn't do once a semester, you have about a week at my school, sometimes less depending on special circumstances. It doesn't matter how smart you are, it's the fact there's work, REAL work. Who cares if you can do it or not, the thing is, YOU HAVE TO DO IT. btw, I've taken the SAT once and I got a 1450, i woke up 8 minutes before I took it, half assed my way through it, and that was that.

I have no idea what y'all are talking about. I'm go to pretty much the best public school in the country(my country), yet I have no idea how to compare myself to you guys cause you're all talking American. SAT scores mean nothing to me.
Why can't Kamoc release his comics as .pdf files? I think that would be easier for all concerned.
I was surprised to be in it actually, yet for some reason I'm the only one appearing as a what my avatar looks like.
