Re: Golden age of AMVs?
I remember the forums being very busy when I first joined the org.
Since then, I've noticed activity has slowly decreased each year.
Based on that, there was probably a peak <= 2006
Also:
I wish I could have been there. Was there something special about that date/time?

I asked the same thing some time ago, and iirc, the conclusion was bots, or something along those lines.Phantasmagoriat wrote: Also:... I think that's a pretty good indication of a peak... at least for the org...Forum wrote:"Most users ever online was 436 on Mon Jan 24, 2005 8:47 pm"

Re: Golden age of AMVs?
You make it sounds like the world of anime fan made videos revolves around this website > lol. AMVs/MADs/whatever name you want to give to fan made videos are still flourishing and growing, the ORGs community started dissolving then perhaps, but thats a completely different topic...maybe you can ask yourself why people would want out of this community. Obviously not because it's a good one.Phantasmagoriat wrote:I remember the forums being very busy when I first joined the org.

I was aware of that:AceD wrote:You make it sounds like the world of anime fan made videos revolves around this website
So either it did peak around that time, or the AMV-scene started to disperse elsewhere... (which is what I gather you are implying)Phantasmagoriat wrote:... I think that's a pretty good indication of a peak... at least for the org...
